The EZDrummer 2 demo was full but worked for 10 days so could play around a little more. Its been very interesting reading about all of your experiences, tips and opinions, too. The AD 2 demo is limited to very few kit pieces so hard to evaluate fully. Hi all, Ive been really enjoying X3, especially Melodyne, comping and customizing colours.
But as i say, that's just my personal preference for my music, i don't record anyone else's music. Addictive Drums or EZDrummer Probably the most asked question in the history of midi drums, but I’ve been playing a bit with the demos and would like to hear any user opinons. AD2 had me tweaking constantly and still not getting me near the mark that i could achieve in 1 minute with EZD. If you're not hung up on tweaking, then i'll say EZD all day long. That said, the metal, jazz, funk adkpaks in AD2 all sounded great, most of them did actually, they're just not suited to my needs. So i can only speak for my own music and EZD with some of the EZX kits just sound much more natural to me for what i do. If it interest you my guess is between now and first of the year Toontrack will have some good pricing. Also Superior will play any of the EZX or SDX drum packs but EZ cant play the SDX drum kits. In EZD you buy individual sound libraries and they have a particular sound. And the AD2 sound sets cover alot of ground in getting your drums to sound just right without alot of tweaking. I believe AD2 is more equivalent to Superior Drummer in terms of options. I dont care what anyone says I can hear the diff. AD2 is more versatile and higher quality of sounds.
Drum machine software is awesome it can deliver various drum sounds and effects, and even assist in mixing, without. To start I’ll say that Addictive Drums sound really good, it’s very easy to use, it has tons of options and it’s not very expensive. The point is not that EZ2 sucks in comparison.I used it happily for a couple of years. Also i can still send them out to individual tracks in Logic, i can still tweak further if i need to.ĪD2 is a great software though don't get me wrong, and the sound is just a matter of my taste and opinion. For a final product the primary difference is EZ2 is 16 bit and Superior is 24 bit. It comes with a lot of functionality also. I then used EZD2 and had the indie folk EZX, and it completely hit the spot i was looking for with. That’s this method’s big advantage the speed of being able to create a full drum track. Although if you are very experienced using virtual drummer software such as EZDrummer, it is possible to create full drum tracks incredibly quickly. I had been using AD2 and it's very tweakable but for some reason, and i had all the adpaks, i could never get the right snare sound i was looking for. Using imported drum loops is probably the quickest way of creating a drum track for your song.
